NYC - Boston II

This program immerses students in the latest advancements in science, technology, engineering, and mathematics. From the Broad Institute and MIT Lincoln Laboratory to the Museum of Science and the American Museum of Natural History, students explore cutting-edge research centers and engage in hands-on learning experiences. This experience offers a unique opportunity to expand STEM knowledge while experiencing the vibrant culture of two iconic American cities.

Day 1

Students delve into the city's art and technology landscape. They embark on an Art and Technology Tour, exploring the MIT Museum and Media Lab. The group gets a change to engage with AI-related exhibitions, such as "AI: Mind the Gap," uncovering its promise and impact.

Day 2

Students dive into biomedical research with a tour of the Broad Institute. Affiliated with MIT and Harvard, it pioneers genomics, cancer biology, and infectious disease research. Later, explore engineering and innovation at the Museum of Science. The day ends with a visit to the planetarium.

Day 3

Students immerse in Harvard Medical School's MEDscience program, simulating medical emergencies to enhance critical skills. The day includes hands-on practice with training dummies, a Fenway Park tour for sports history, and a culinary experience at Timeout Market.

Day 4

Students embark on a Harvard Campus Tour to explore its renowned history and contributions to science. In the afternoon, they delve into Boston's rich cultural heritage, visiting Copley Square and the Freedom Trail landmarks that played a pivotal role in the American Revolution.

Day 5

A visit to the American Museum of Natural History, exploring the museum's exhibits on natural history and science, including the Rose Center for Earth and Space. Later, a trip to Columbia University to learn about their innovative STEM research in engineering, computer science, and neuroscience.

Day 6

We explore the New York Hall of Science, where students engage in a variety of STEM challenges and experiments. Then, they will tour the Rockefeller University campus, a world-renowned biomedical research institution, and learn about their cutting-edge research genetics, neuroscience, and immunology

Day 7

A tour to the Metropolitan Museum of Art, exploring the intersection of art and science. Later, we visit the New York Genome Center to learn about the latest developments in genomics and biomedical research. There, they participate in activities and experiments related to DNA sequencing and analysis

Day 8

We visit the Intrepid Sea, Air & Space Museum, which explores the history of science and technology in aviation and space travel. Then, we tour the New York University Tandon School of Engineering, to learn about their innovative research in cybersecurity, robotics, and sustainable urban development

Day 9

On the final day of the program, students will have the morning free for some last-minute shopping or sightseeing before departing for home.
